Motorists across the UAE will pay less for petrol in July after the country’s Fuel Price Committee announced revised rates for the month. The new prices, effective from July 1, bring a welcome reduction across all petrol categories, offering relief to residents amid rising living and transport costs.
Super 98 petrol will now cost Dh2.99 per litre, down from Dh3.14 in June. Special 95, one of the most commonly used fuel grades in the country, has been reduced to Dh2.88 per litre from Dh3.02. E-Plus 91 will cost Dh2.80 per litre, compared with Dh2.95 in the previous month.
However, diesel prices will see a marginal increase, moving to Dh2.89 per litre from Dh2.88 in June.
The monthly price adjustment reflects the UAE’s fuel pricing mechanism, which links local pump prices to movements in global oil markets. Since deregulating fuel prices in 2015, the country has revised petrol and diesel rates every month to align with international market trends.
The latest reduction is expected to ease monthly expenses for commuters, delivery operators, and families who depend on private vehicles. While the drop may appear modest, regular drivers could notice savings over repeated refuelling throughout the month.
Fuel retailers across the Emirates will apply the new rates from July 1, with prices remaining uniform at stations nationwide.
